Jim Coles, AKA Om Unit, is self-releasing a new LP.
Acid Dub Studies, out on February 19th, explores acid basslines, dub, techno and ambient. The LP was produced using analogue mixing techniques that were inspired by dub producers Adrian Sherwood and Deadbeat, according to the liner notes. Earlier this month, Bristol-based Coles self-released a sample pack of percussion sounds made from analog hardware synthesis.
This is Coles' first full-length work as a solo artist since his 2017 album Self, which came out via his own Cosmic Bridge label.
