  • London label Local Action is collaborating with one of its artists, Finn, on a mixtape series. Mixtape Club hopes to help fill some of the void left by the closure of clubs, raves and festivals. The online mix series will release a monthly dance music mixtape with no rules on its format or content. The first season runs from January to July 2021. Each artist will be paid £150 for their contribution and will have a further £150 to create an accompanying artwork. There is no information on who will be behind the mixes yet, but they will be free to stream via the Mixtape Club website. Listeners are encouraged to subscribe to the Patreon, where a monthly £5 donation will go towards paying the DJs and artists. If Mixtape Club receives more than the £300 per month running costs, the excess will be split between the DJs evenly. The first mixtape will be released later this month. Listen to Finn's RA podcast.
