- The desktop versions bring portability to the latest Prophet remakes.
Sequential has announced desktop versions of its Prophet-5 and Prophet-10 synthesisers will be released in February.
Following the keyboard versions released last year, the new modules offer a portable option for space-conscious and travelling artists.
Like their keyboard predecessors, the two-oscillator modules include a "Rev switch," allowing you to choose between the different sound characters of the four original versions of the Prophet-5 synth released between 1978 and 1984. There's also the Vintage control for dialling in varying levels of instability present in the originals, velocity sensitivity and aftertouch, plus the Poly Mod feature, which routes the filter envelope and second oscillator to a variety of destinations. Sequential will release the Prophet-5 and Prophet-10 desktop synths in February, 2021 for $2,499 and $3,299 respectively.
