Cairo-based artist Hassan Abou Alam has a new album under local record label Rakete.
The four-track Hope Amidst Despair follows January' T44, which came out on Lisbon-based imprint Naivety (which is a sister label of Naive).
Alam has previously released on Casa Voyager and performed a live electronic show for Boiler Room last year. In 2017, he participated in a Red Bull Music Academy project that involved working with traditional musicians in Egypt.
