- Ngoma Injection is the Ugandan label's first full release from an artist outside Africa.
Nyege Nyege Tapes sister label Hakuna Kulala is putting out an album from Russian artist WULFFLUW XCIV next month.
Ngoma Injection was started during his residency in Kampala that followed last year's Nyege Nyege Festival. The LP takes influence from EBM, dembow, kuduro and gqom, according to the label.
This is the first time that Hakuna Kulala has put out a full solo record from outside Africa. (A previous Slikback EP included collaborations with Yen Tech, 33EMYBW and Osheyack.) It's also the debut album from WULFFLUW XCIV, also known as WULFFLUW94, who has collaborated with acts like Santa Muerte and Blastah in the past.
