Grouper (Liz Harris) has launched a new art publication, PRESENCE.
The first issue, titled IN THE MIST, is a hand-stamped, 50-page, 10-inch by 13-inch arts and music publication limited to 650 copies. (It's also available as a PDF.) It comes with a link to a mix by Coby Sey and features contributions from Marisa Anderson, Ben Ratliff, Mica Levi, Adee Roberson, Emel Mathlouthi, Dicky Bahto, Tatiana Luboviski-Acosta, Steph Littlebird Fogel and more.
"PRESENCE began as an idea for a mellow zine and a way to connect [with] people I was missing," Harris told The Creative Independent. "Many contributed something different than what they’re known for, while some shared a honed craft. An interview done by a musician, a story written by a filmmaker, etc. It's a mixed bag."
