  • Roy Ayers has a new studio album on the way, his first since 2002. Out on June 19th, Roy Ayers: Jazz Is Dead 2 is a collaboration with US producer Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad, formerly of legendary hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest. Younge and Muhammad run the label Jazz Is Dead, which is releasing the eight-track LP. The album, which was recorded at Younge's Linear Labs studio in Los Angeles, also features the likes of drummer Greg Paul and vocalists Loren Oden, Joy Gilliam, Saudia Yasmein.
