- The Berlin-based Brit passed away in hospital on Friday, March 6th, from cancer.
Beloved UK DJ and blogger Jonty SkruFFF died earlier this month in Berlin.
SkruFFF, real name Jonathan Adderley, died in hospital on Friday, March 6th, following a spell with cancer. He was a well-known figure in the industry, with a varied career stretching back to the early '90s. Starting out in London, he eventually moved to Berlin in 2008, where he lived until his death.
Adderley's work spanned music journalism, DJing, radio, production and plenty more besides. He was a resident at Berlin club Sisyphos, worked for ADE and Pioneer DJ, and, perhaps most famously of all, was a dedicated blogger, running Jonty Skrufff's Blog since 2010.
"Jonty had a unique style, a sweet personality and a massive love of music," Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, AKA Pet Shop Boys, told Adderley's wife, Fidelity Kastrow, via Facebook. "We will miss hanging out with him in Berlin and he will be a great loss to the dance community."
