The next release on Washington DC label U-Udios is out now.
On The Ifness is a collaborative album from Mike Petillo (cofounder of U-Udios and member of Protect-U) and percussionist Sean McGuinness (from Pennsylvania punk rock band Pissed Jeans). The LP was recorded over several extended jam sessions in both Takoma Park, Maryland and Philadelphia, featuring live percussion, guitar, Rhodes piano, synth, vocals and drum machines.
Beautiful Swimmers member Max D plays additional percussion on "Abstract Xtract" while Don Godwin adds trumpet to "Qua." It's out on tape and digital.
U-Udios is a label that documents the various jam sessions that happen at the Protect-U studio in Takoma Park. Previous releases have come from Geo Rip, Protect-U and Doubler (AKA Petillo and Jason Letkiewicz).
