  • Mexican festival Esto Es Tulum has cancelled one of its events after two Mexican nationals were stabbed and rushed to hospital. The attack took place in the early hours of Monday, January 6th. at a party hosted by the Ibiza brand ANTS, according to Quadratin Quintana Roo. The two men, reportedly mistaken for drug dealers by local cartel members, were stabbed at the festival venue, Cenote Casa Tortuga, a nature reserve owned by the mayor of Tulum, Victor Mas Tah. One of the victims was left in a critical condition with a wound to the neck. On the 7th, EET issued a statement via Facebook confirming that that night's Vato Locos party had been cancelled. It's unclear whether tonight's finale, Children Of The Sun, is going ahead. Now in its second year, EET occupies the space left by BPM Festival, hosting daily events featuring the likes of Seth Troxler, Steve Lawler and The Martinez Brothers.
