Talking Ibiza is like top trumps. You say you had a great holiday, someone else says they've been three times already this summer. You say you had fun dancing on the terrace, they say it was better at the free beach parties in '88. The island is certainly changing. While package tours to San An are down (good thing) cover charges are up past fifty euros (bad thing). Yet despite all this, the island still holds a magical appeal and for many is the high-point of summer.
While this year has seen the decline of some of the superclubs, some of the smaller players like DC-10, Underground and Penelope's have grown from strength to strength. Three young guns that have been rocking these venues are Sex on Substance stars, Omid16B, Demi and Desyn Masiello. Fuelled with their own brand of sleaze and sexy house the guys have found a natural home in the island's hedonistic undercurrent.
Encouraging you to see some of the more glamorous parts of the isle, the stage for their closing party, co-presented with Ibiza Voice, has been set at El Ayoun Privado, in the small village of San Raphael on Monday October 3. It’s a free party, so get your groove on after DC-10, and really add to your bragging rights.
