RVNG Intl. has announced the release of Melanie Velarde's second album.
Bez is the third project from Commend NYC's Commend See series and launches the Commend There sub-label. Spanning ten tracks, Velarde's forthcoming LP employs jazz-influenced melodies, atmospheric synths and Bossa Nova percussion.
RVNG describes Commend There as an imprint "collecting and presenting material recorded outside of Commend's four walls but maintaining a special connection to our space station." Next up on the outlet will be Julianna Barwick's Circumstance Synthesis, composed for a Sister City sound installation, which will be released next month.
Established in 2016, Commend NYC is the Lower East Side record shop run by RVNG's Matt Werth. That same year, Velarde released her debut album, Parcel on the New York Label. The LP will be made available digitally for the first time tomorrow, November 22nd.
