- The 3500-capacity space launched over the weekend with a Halloween party.
The team behind popular UK festival Boomtown Fair have opened a venue in Bristol.
Area 404, which launched with a Halloween party on November 1st, sits on Albert Road near Temple Meads Station. The space has five rooms and a capacity of 3500. Like the festival, its events will blend DJs and live music with immersive theatre and high-end production. Last weekend's guests included Special Request, Nadia Rose and Trojan Sound System.
The venue is a homecoming of sorts for the Boomtown Fair team, who began their journey in the UK city 11 years ago. Area 404 has two more Halloween parties in the pipeline for this weekend, both opening at 8 PM and running until 4 AM. The lineups are still TBA.
