- Fantastic 'funky house' (London definition) mix of last year's bassline smash. The soca-fied beats and deep bass take this already strong song to a whole other level. Very sexy, very poppy, very fresh.
Crazy Cousinz' Flukes also made 'Bongo Jam', likely to be another big summer hit this year. These tunes are an example of why some people think London's rapidly evolving 'funky house' sound could be some variety of 'next big thing'. Funky house in this context is an evolution of the familiar Defected-style genre into something tougher and more urban with influences from 2-step, soca, grime and bassline. Indeed many ex-grime musicians and MCs (Donae'o, Marcus Nasty, Davinche) are active in the funky house scene.
