  • Kompakt just released a massive Wolfgang Voigt compilation called EARQUAKE. The 303-track set compiles the Kompakt cofounder's '90s solo material, spread across a raft of aliases including Mike Ink, Studio 1, Dextro NRG, Love Inc., Vinyl Countdown, M:I:5, Mint, W.V., and Wassermann. Notably, the set does not include Voigt's well-loved Gas material, collaborations or music controlled by external copyrights. However, EARQUAKE does include 75 unreleased tracks as well as a previously unheard 33-track album, Mit Maschinen Sprechen, recorded under his own name in 1995. EARQUAKE is currently available in AIFF format on a USB stick enclosed in a "noble casket" with a booklet. The tracks are also available individually as 320 kbps MP3s. EARQUAKE also marks a new series of vinyl reissues, starting out with Mike Ink's 1994 12-inch, Dadajack, also out today. For more information on EARQUAKE, head over to Kompakt's official site. Check out the video teaser for EARQUAKE.
EARQUAKE and Dadajack are out on Kompakt now.
