  • Mannheim's Cécille Records is relaunching after four years. Started in 2007 by Nick Curly and Marc Scholl, the label put out minimal-leaning house and techno records from artists like SIS, Lee Burridge and Matthew Dekay until it stopped releasing in 2015. On October 11th, it'll return with an Archie Hamilton rework of SIS's 2008 hit track "Nesrib." "I've been asked many times about bringing back Cecille since we took it on indefinite leave," said Curly. "Success came to us very quickly back then, maybe too quickly. I can say honestly that all of us were not ready for it. After we stopped the label, it took a few years for me to process how I felt about it all and gradually I felt more positive and remembered the great time and, most of all, the music. Marc and I started to talk more and, eventually, we realised we see Cécille Records as unfinished business. Then it was just the question to find the right tracks to come back. Im pleased to tell you that we now have them." Listen to a preview of "Nesrib (Archie Hamilton's Nose Rub)."
