  • Gloo, the group comprising Iglooghost, Kai Whiston and BABii, are releasing an album on September 18th. XYZ is the first album from the trio, who formed earlier this year—it's the first time they've made a full record together after releasing songs, merchandise and putting on events. (They stress that Gloo is an open concept: "If Iglooghost decides he wants to build and sell furniture, he'll do it under Gloo. If I wanna sponsor a wrestling tournament, I'll do it under Gloo," Whiston says.) The tracks touch on footwork, experimental club music and pop. The album will come in a ziplocked package with the artwork in decal format, so buyers can make their own version of the cover. Iglooghost is known for his footwork-influenced work on Brainfeeder, while Whiston has released on TAR and Big Dada. Both are from Shaftesbury, while BABii, a producer and vocalist who designed machines that gave fans rewards during a recent Iglooghost and Kai Whiston tour, hails from Margate. Listen to "Lamb."
