The soundtrack for Beats, a new film about the underground rave scene in '90s Scotland, will be released next month.
Compiled by JD Twitch of Optimo, the 13-track LP features an array of classic rave tracks, such as Model 500's "The Chase," Plastikman's "Spastik" and Twitch's own "Skeng Teng," featuring Killa P. The soundtrack will be released on CD and double-vinyl on September 6th.
Beats was directed by Brian Welsh and is based on the Kieran Hurley coming-of-age play of the same name. The film is set in 1994 Scotland and captures the rave nostalgia of the country’s underground revolution.
