  • Desert Hearts are starting up a new label called Desert Hearts Black. The latest label from the California festival crew is meant for "heavier and darker sounds," according to the press release, and it will be curated by Desert Hearts cofounder Marbs along with festival regular Evan Casey. Both are known for playing late-night sets at the festival. "Currently, Desert Hearts Records has represented our house community to the fullest," says Marbs, "and we want to provide that same outlet for those in our family who enjoy heavier, darker, more journey-driven sounds." The first release is a three-way collaboration between Marbs, Casey and Los Angeles artist Rinzen. The Desert Hearts crew will throw a launch party in LA on August 9th featuring all three artists along with Thugfucker and a handful of secret special guests.
