- La Torre Ibiza features tracks from Bill Laswell, Nu Guinea, Mac DeMarco and Tears For Fears.
The third volume of La Torre Ibiza will hit stores in July.
Once again, Mark Barrott has teamed up with Pete Gooding for the compilation, which is inspired by Barrott's sunset residency at the Ibiza club. La Torre styles itself as "the original Ibiza experience," located on a cliff tucked away from the bustling club districts, and its compilations are inspired by early ideas of Balearic music, when the term encompassed everything from disco to psychedelic rock and more.
This third compilation features a variety of tracks from artists old and new. Older selections come from Bill Laswell & Jah Wobble, Malcom McLaren, Swung Out Sister, Tears For Fears, Tamam Shud and Richard Torrance. The duo also selected tracks from Italian group Nu Guinea, indie rock artist Mac DeMarco and Vancouver's Pacific Coliseum. It'll come out on the venue's in-house label Hostal La Torre Recordings.
