Lars Dales, one-half of the house act Detroit Swindle, is recovering from a motorcycle accident in Amsterdam.
A statement on the Dutch duo's Facebook and Instagram accounts gave details of Dales' accident, from which he suffered a broken jaw and a broken palate. It's not known when or where in Amsterdam the crash happened. He's currently recovering at home after "extensive surgery." Resident Advisor has contacted Maarten Smeets, Dales' DJ and production partner.
"The coming weeks will be about recovery from the accident and gaining his strength again," reads the statement, written by Smeets. "We've heard he's already making jokes, which sounds like he's still very much the Lars we all know and love. All upcoming DJ shows will go on as planned with me representing Detroit Swindle and we are in touch with all promoters involved."
