  • Teenage Engineering has worked with Ghostly International for a new edition in its Pocket Operator range. The collaboration builds upon Teenage Engineering's battery-powered PO-33 K.O.!, a small sampler with 40 seconds of memory. The Ghostly version features sounds and patterns made by Steve Hauschildt, who's known for his work on Ghostly, Kranky and as part of Emeralds. You can also record your own samples with an in-built microphone or line-in jack, which can then be arranged on a 16-step sequencer, manipulated with a choice of 16 effects and saved into 18 chainable patterns. There are eight tracks for melodic and drum sounds respectively and parameter locks are available for performing and recording effects in real time. It's available now on the Ghostly website for $135. Teenage Engineering recently added a range of modular synths to its Pocket Operator series. Learn more about Steve Hauschildt in our feature.
