- "It's a concept album about the anthropomorphic Goddess of climate Change."
Grimes's next album will be called Miss_Anthrop0cene.
In an Instagram post, the pop artist, real name Claire Boucher, described the idea behind the LP. "It's a concept album about the anthropomorphic Goddess of climate Change: A psychedelic, space-dwelling demon/beauty-Queen who relishes the end of the world. [sic]"
"I love Godly personifications of abstract/ horrific concepts," Boucher continues. "Each song will be a different embodiment of human extinction as depicted through a Pop star Demonology. [sic]"
Boucher describes the music on Miss_Anthrop0cene as "nu metal(ish)." Ahead of its release, she says she might release a few synth-based EPs that run closer to her past albums, 2015's Art Angels and 2012's Visions.
Miss_Anthrop0cene's release date is unknown.
