  • Amsterdam label Music From Memory is releasing a second Outro Tempo compilation of vintage electronic and experimental music from Brazil. Compiled once again by London DJ John Gómez, Outro Tempo II shifts the timeline up a few years to 1984-'96 (the first compilation spanned '78-'92). There's no release date or tracklist yet, though the label describes it as "another dive into the depths of the Brazilian underworld, exploring the rhythms that lurk beneath the Ipanema sunset." In the meantime, Music From Memory has a teaser EP coming, Outro Tempo: Single Promocional, featuring two tracks from the compilation. "Bruhahá II," recorded in 1987 by the São Paulo group Bruhahá Babélico, was never released. On the flip there's a track from Individual Industry, an 80s "ethereal electro pop" band. Read our review of the original Outro Tempo collection, which ended up on our 2017 best-of album list. Listen to "Bruhahá II."
Music From Memory will release Outro Tempo: Single Promocional and Outro Tempo II soon.
