Dis Fig has announced details of her first LP, PURGE.
The album will land on New York label PTP. The press release for PURGE says that the record stands in contrast to the Berlin artist's "relentless and downright brutal DJ sets," instead calling it an "exploration of her own vulnerability through varying degrees of noise, vocal migrations and orchestral composition."
"PURGE is about confronting the feelings which you have been avoiding, consciously or subconsciously," says Dis Fig, real name Felicia Chen. "Feelings you want to be feeling or 'should' be feeling but you can't because your body won't let you."
The LP features contributions from PTP founder Geng, as well as flute by Adam Sinclaire, trumpet by Sasha Perera and trombone by Thomas Romana. The artwork and design was done by Jeremiah Carter.
