  • Bass Clef is releasing a new album this week. 111 angelic MIDI cascade, due out on January 31st via Slip, is described as Ralph Cumbers' "first deliberate Bass Clef album" since 2012's Reeling Skullways, which came out on Peverelist's label Punch Drunk. Recorded last year in Rotterdam, the eight-track LP eschews drums, focussing instead on "soaring machine melodies and taut harmonic threads," marking a departure from previous notable records for The Trilogy Tapes, Idle Hands and PAN. It will be available on cassette and as a digital download. Listen to "emphasise empathise."
