- It builds on the label's reissue of his 1987 LP, Subliminal, last year.

A 2019 remastered version of Yasuaki Shimizu's Dementos has been reissued on Chee Shimizu's label Japanism.
This is the second time the Japanese saxophonist and Mariah band leader's work has appeared on the label, which highlights obscure Japanese music. Last year, we saw Yasuaki Shimizu's 1987 LP Subliminal reissued with extended edits as (Re)Subliminal. Now comes the album he recorded in 1988, Dementos.
Dementos is one of a handful of Yasuaki Shimizu reissues over the last few years, following releases of the artist's 1982 album Kakashi, his 1987 album Music For Commercials and Mariah's 1983 LP Utakata No Hibi.
