  • Japan Connection Festival 2019 has announced the two curators for its inaugural weekend, Hugo LX and Kuniyuki. The two artists will collaborate on the event's programming, which strives to create an artistic dialogue between the French and Japanese electronic music scenes. Hugo LX is a French artist who now lives between Paris and Kyoto and has released music on labels such as My Love Is Underground and MCDE. Kuniyuki Takahashi, a longtime staple in the Japanese electronic music scene, has made a career out of the kind of deep and jazzy house central to Mule Musiq. Japan Connection Festival 2019 is hosted by French agency Make It Deep at La Gaîté Lyrique from May 9th to 11th. The full lineup will be announced next month.
