Skatebård, DJ Occult, Rabih Beaini and more will play to ice skaters at Berghain's exhibition hall during the Berlin festival.
CTM Festival will install an ice rink for a series of parties in Halle Am Berghain this year.
The Eishalle will host a party on each day of the festival, which runs from Friday, January 25th, to Sunday, February 3rd, across multiple venues in Berlin. Skatebård, DJ Occult, Rabih Beaini, Marylou, Yoshitaka Hiwaka, Freak De L'Afrique Soundsystem and Creamcake are among the acts scheduled for the nine-day run. Local artist Christopher Bauder will handle bespoke light design for the Berghain-adjacent hall.
CTM has also finalised the roster for its 2019 edition. Buttechno, Tama Sumo, Pangaea, The Black Madonna, Saoirse, xin and Resom have been added to the festival, among other newly named artists and projects. Lotic, Colin Self, Yves Tumor, Tirzah, Gazelle Twin and DJ Haram have already been confirmed for the Berlin event. Find CTM's full 2019 programme here.
The festival previously announced its latest annual theme, "Persistence," last November, which likely nods in part to the festival's 20th anniversary, as well as "the aesthetic and societal potentials and pains of perseverance, and of its opposite: the transient and the provisional, and considers the struggles that come with balancing continuity and changeability."
