- The eponymous LP is out in October.
Bristol label Black Acre has shared details of an eponymous album from Japanese artist Jun Kamoda.
It'll be the first full-length from Kamoda under his given name. He's also released leftfield hip-hop—on his own as Illreme and as a member of Baleine 3000, among other projects—but recent years have seen him apply his anything-goes approach to dance music production. In 2017, he put out two records through Black Acre, including The Distorted Haunted Ballroom, and now the label has signed him for a nine-track album. The self-titled record will be out in October on double-vinyl and digital formats.
Like his other two Black Acre efforts, Jun Kamoda will feature a painting from his wife Hisano as cover artwork. (There will be limited-edition prints of it for sale alongside the album.) The vinyl edition of the album will also feature a cartoon from Jun Kamoda himself.
