- Trump Tokyo will close after the move on June 15th.
A number of key Tokyo venues will move this month.
TAKE PLANNING International Ltd., which runs a number of Tokyo venues, has announced changes for its clubs Oath, Trump Tokyo and Red Bar. In a statement on Facebook, company CEO Akira Takeda revealed that Oath will take over the Shibuya space currently home to Trump Tokyo, which will cease operations once the move occurs on June 15th. Red Bar, which will launch a new weekly afterhours series, will then move to Oath's former location. Takeda says that Oath will reopen at its new location on June 18th, while Red Bar will reopen on the 29th.
Along with clubs like Bonobo and Koara, Oath is one of Tokyo's key spots for intimate electronic music events. It has operated at its current Aoyama location for 13 years. A closing party is planned for June 15th, featuring DJs such as Keigo Koda, Remi, Milkmann and NOP.
