2MR has announced an album from Atlanta-based leftfield house and hip-hop producer Fit Of Body titled Black Box No Cops.
Fit Of Body, AKA Harsh Riddims label founder Ryan Parks, will be making his debut on 2MR, the New York and New Jersey-based imprint run by Mike Simonetti, Adam Gerrard and Mike Sniper. Parks named the 11-track LP after the longstanding Black Box skate spot (also called Black Blocks) in downtown Atlanta. "I spend a lot of time skating there," the artist says, adding that it's a "cop-free zone, you cannot be kicked out."
2MR put out a vinyl compilation of previously tape-only Harsh Riddims tracks back in 2016. As for Parks, his Fit Of Body releases have come out on labels including CGI and Ransom Note, along with his own label.
