- The duo will put out an album through Monofonus Press in May.

Bill Converse is working with Sam De La Rosa in a new group called Samaritan Quell.
The duo's debut album will come on May 18th via Monofonus Press. The self-titled LP was "recorded in the depths of the tequila-soaked shipping containers of Monofonus," according to the press notes, which describes the full-length as "a strange collage-manipulation-cut-up work featuring samples, turntable, organ, synthesizer and drum machine."
Samaritan Quell marks the latest release in a busy period for Texas producer Converse, who released albums for Dark Entries and Tabernacle Records last year. Sam De La Rosa, meanwhile, is best known for his work as part of synth group Led Er Est, who put out music on labels like Mannequin and Sacred Bones.
