  • Melbourne will get a new 5,000 capacity events spot in 2018 called B3. Local promoter Novel has been granted access to the indoor inner-city space, which will be used for three events in 2018. While the location is currently TBA, it has been disclosed that the venue will have a late-night license. The soundsystem will be looked after by Full Throttle, the company responsible for providing installations to festivals like Pitch Music & Arts, Rainbow Serpent Festival and Subsonic Music Festival. Novel director Daniel Teuma explains "our ongoing quest is to find new and exciting venues that create a unique and special experience for our customers, artists and for ourselves. B3's uniqueness lies in the architecture, character and layout of the space. We could run 3 events per year at the venue and never use the same area due its size, versatility and the numerous and amazing usable areas. The old Docklands sheds and Public Office events are great inspirations for the venue. Traditionally events of this scale in Australia are outside. We've been given a unique opportunity to once again take that concept indoors—and through the night. B3 will feature some of the biggest acts from the Novel roster alongside some new additions." Take a look at some exclusive photos of the space.
