The next edition of one of Europe's leading electronic instrument conference is happening next May.
The Superbooth music tech conference is returning with an expanded programme in 2018.
The fair will take place at the FEZ conference centre in East Berlin from May 3rd through 5th. As the 2018 edition is expected to draw more than 5000 visitors, the Westflügel (west wing) of FEZ will be opened to provide space for extra vendors and attendees alike. Over 80% of the exhibitors have been confirmed. You can order tickets on the Superbooth website.
In recent years, Superbooth has built a reputation as a leading expo for electronic instruments and, specifically, modular synthesisers. Unlike larger music tech events like NAMM, Superbooth focuses on presenting small, DIY operations next to bigger companies like Roland and Behringer. While it attracts DJs and producers like Nina Kraviz and Ricardo Villalobos, the expo places an emphasis on engaging with children and families, running a programme of workshops, events and talks for gear nerds and the general public alike. The fair is a project by Schneidersladen, a long-running Berlin-based synth store.
