  • The second album on Howard Williams' Japan Blues record label is an album by Osaka artist Iku Sakan titled Prism In Us All. Sakan has spent much of the past ten years living in Berlin, where he's been known to play steel drums in Görlitzer Park. He also threw himself into the city's noise/improv scene, and has collaborated with the likes of Sun Araw, Anders Lauge Meldgaard and Pekka Airaksinen. Williams describes Sakan's improvisatory work as "a kind of metaphysical music, with circular rhythms and an emotive, melodic feel." The first release on Williams' label was his own Japan Blues album, called Sells His Record Collection, which came out earlier this year.
