  • Mick Harris is releasing an album as Fret called Over Depth. The Fret alias last appeared on a 12-inch in 1995 on a sub-label of Downwards called Resonance. (It was recently included in Objekt's Kern mix.) Harris is now reviving the project for a ten-track double-LP, due out on October 13th via Karlrecords. Beginning his career as a drummer in Napalm Death, Harris went on to be a force in various strains of dark electronic music, influencing everything from Birmingham techno to drum & bass and ambient. He's also known for his solo work with projects like Scorn, Monrella, Lull and Quoit. Harris will perform as Fret at Berlin Atonal festival on August 17th. Listen to "Lift Method."
