  • Elektron has updated the Analog Four and Analog RYTM. The MKII version of the Analog Four, one of the Swedish manufacturer's flagship synthesisers, has improved overdrive and new circuitry that Elektron claims makes for "very deep and defined bass." Each of its four voices now has stereo outputs while inputs for CV and expression control have been added for external control of the synth's parameters. The Analog RYTM MKII meanwhile now boasts sampling capability, facilitated by balanced inputs, and extra outputs. The drum pads have been improved and, like the Analog Four, it also gains CV and expression connectivity. Both devices have improved OLED screens, encoders, larger footprints, sloped interfaces and extra dedicated buttons for speeding up the workflow. Elektron's Overbridge software, which integrates their products with DAWs, has been given greater bandwidth and both machines are presented in a cast aluminium chassis. The updates follows last week's announcement of the Octatrack MKII sampler. Read our review of Elektron's recently released Digitakt drum sampler.
The Elektron Analog Four MKII and Analog RYTM MKII are available in September, 2017 for €1449 and €1699 respectively.
