- Five-dimensional touch is now available for under $300.

ROLI has launched a smaller, more affordable version of its Seaboard keyboard.
ROLI's Seaboard range gained prominence by bringing gestural control to the keyboard surface. The Seaboard Block introduces this functionality to ROLI's Block system, a modular collection of portable touch devices that control a music-making app. Where the original Seaboards retailed between $799 and $8888, the wireless, two-octave Seaboard Block is available for $299. Parameters can be controlled over five dimensions, namely strike, glide, slide, press and lift. It also comes bundled with over one hundred sounds and a suite of software including Max MSP, while it can function as a controller for software like Ableton Live, Butwig Studio and Logic.
