- The cover of the 1982 Det Gylne Triangel track comes with a remix by Erol Alkan.
Todd Terje is releasing a new song, "Maskindans," with a remix from Erol Alkan, this week.
It's a cover of a 1982 minimal synth track by Norwegian duo Det Gylne Triangel and features new vocals from the band's original singer. It follows up the Dansbar Series, which saw Terje and friends remixing foundational Scandinavian disco tracks. "Maskindans" is also the first glimpse of new material from Terje's as-yet-untitled second album, which he's still at work on. (In February, Terje released Prins Thomas and Four Tet remixes of an unreleased original that may also by on the yet-to-be-announced LP.) Maskindance also includes a version from Phantasy label boss Erol Alkan. The 12-inch is due out on Terje's imprint, Olsen Records.
