Life And Death will release Cannon Fodder, a single from Stroboscopic Artefacts boss Lucy, later this month.
The first release of 2017 for DJ Tennis's Life And Death marks the second appearance from Berlin-based techno experimentalist Lucy on the label—he remixed Dead Heat on a 2014 EP. Lucy leads the way on this one, with remixes coming from UK techno legend and Mote-Evolver boss Luke Slater as Planetary Assault Systems, as well as DJ Sotofett. The Sotofett take, which the label says is influenced by '90s loop techno, will be vinyl-only, while the original and the Planetary Assault Systems rework will be available on wax and digital formats.
Mortellaro and Slater share some history, with each artist contributing to the other's label over the years—and a Lucy version of Planetary Assault Systems' "Surface Noise" came out on Mote-Evolver last month.
