  • The ceiling of Factory 251 collapsed in the early hours of Sunday morning. The incident at the Manchester venue was captured on video by clubgoers who held up the ceiling with their bare hands. "As soon as the ceiling went all the lights smashed and fell on everyone, there was crying and screaming," attendee Tom Foster told the Manchester Evening News. "We were just standing there holding it up, with half the room in darkness. It took about two minutes for the DJ to stop, then bouncers rushed in, but there was no plan." There were no injuries reported in the incident, and the club hinted on Twitter that it would reopen tonight. According to the venue itself, the problem was a loose piece of plasterboard that had already collapsed in a similar incident two years ago. "At this stage we are uncertain how or why," the club said. "No one was hurt and the club was evacuated purely as a precaution—there is no structural issue."
