- KDJ's Mahogany Brown and Parrish's First Floor LPs will be out on vinyl again soon.
Moodymann's Mahogany Brown and Theo Parrish's First Floor Part One and Two are being repressed by Peacefrog.
Both albums were released in 1998 and remain landmarks for the Detroit house sound. First Floor was Parrish's debut full-length. It was released as one CD but broken up into two vinyl volumes containing classic tracks like "Heal Yourself And Move" and "First Floor Metaphor." Mahogany Brown was Moodymann’s second album following 1997’s Silentintroduction, further laying out the warm, sample-heavy sound that's made him a Detroit icon.
