New Sydney venue The Bunk3r opens in January

- The basement of The Oxford Hotel has been renovated and will host club gigs every Friday and Saturday.
- The basement of Sydney venue The Oxford Hotel has been renovated and rebranded as The Bunk3r, due to open this weekend. Previously known as the Oxford Underground, the Hotel's basement room has gone through a number of facelifts over the years. The most recent renovations to the 180-capacity space have seen the sunken dance floor filled in and the sound system replaced with a fresh Funktion-One installation. Following an almost four-year stint running Saturdays at the Burdekin Hotel, local promoter and DJ Dave Stuart will take over bookings at The Bunk3r which will include a fresh incarnation of his Something Else party series. Also among the crews slated to host events at the club are Charades, Strange Signals, Mantra Collective, Upon Access and Refuge. The opening night on January 14th will feature Aaron Robins, Jimmy Galvin, U-Khan, Binary, Spacejunk & Whitecat and Stuart himself playing from 10 PM.
