- The 12-track release was inspired by the sounds of old-school video games.
Credit 00 will release in March his debut album, Game Over, through Uncanny Valley.
Game Over, built from tracks recorded over the last six years, is said to see Leipzig-based producer Alexander Dorn cover a broad range of styles, from house and hip-hop to jungle and Italo. The album is described as "an electronic love letter to the romantic fantasy worlds of classic video games and their bleepy and clonky sounds which used to be common also in repetitive electronic dance music." One tune, "Breakers Revenge," features contributions from two of Dorn's friends, Sara Stammburg (vocals) and Max Rademann (Rhodes piano).
Coming on vinyl and digital formats with artwork from Dorn himself, the album will first arrive via Uncanny Valley's Bandcamp page on March 13th, two weeks before it hits other shops.
The artist and imprint share a close relationship. Four Credit 00 EPs have been put out through Uncanny Valley itself, starting with the alias's 2012 debut solo 12-inch, The Living Room Life, while two more have come through the Rat Life Records sub-label that Dorn also helps operate.
