- Originally released in 2001, the much sought-after Lifestyles Of The Laptop Café will be available on vinyl in February.
Warp Records will repress The Other People Place's 2001 album, Lifestyles Of The Laptop Café, in February.
Released anonymously by Drexciya member James Stinson a year before he died, the eight-track LP is widely regarded as a Detroit classic. It's since become much sought after on second-hand markets like Discogs, with copies changing hands for hundreds of dollars. Fans have been eager to see it repressed for years, and in 2015, 1,167 people signed a Change.org petition to put pressure on Warp. The label appears to have got the message, confirming today that the album will return to the shelves on February 10th.
