  • Brian Eno will release apps to accompany his forthcoming album on Warp, Reflection. Eno's next full-length, which is due out on New Year's Day, contains one 54-minute ambient track. It's a follow-up to his LP from this year, The Ship, which also landed on Warp. Today the label announced they'll be releasing Reflection in the form of apps for iPhone and Apple TV, as well as in standard digital and vinyl formats. The apps will allow users to experience an "endless and endlessly changing version of the piece of music," Eno writes. "I wanted this music to unfold differently all the time—like sitting by a river: it's always the same river, but it's always changing." He already has a few generative apps out via the Apple Store, including a version of his classic album Music For Airports.
