  • Mark Goodings, from the drum & bass duo Hidden Agenda, passed away last night. Metalheadz label boss Goldie shared the news via his Facebook page this morning. "Hidden Agenda's legacy to UK underground music really cannot be underestimated," he wrote. The British duo, which included Mark and his brother Jason, were synonymous with Metalheadz's early years. They also released on labels like Creative Source and Reinforced, and were known for jazzy drum & bass tracks with a wide range of samples, from Iggy Pop to Steve Reich. Their only album, Whatever Happened To..., came out on the Swiss label Straight Ahead in 2000. Goldie called Goodings "Headz family forever" in today's Facebook post, saying he has a "new respect for what it means to be brave after Mark’s decision to pass to the next life." He also said they'd soon be announcing details of a gathering in celebration of his legacy. Drum & bass greats like DJ Marky, Lenzman and Doc Scott paid their respects on Twitter.
