  • The Black Madonna is releasing a new single. Marea Stamper took to Facebook to announce "He Is The Voice I Hear," calling it her first "all new work" since 2013's Lady Of Sorrows EP. (2014 records like "Stay" and "Exodus" were essentially edits.) It was made in collaboration with her studio partner Rupert Murray, and features musicians Davide Rossi and Christoforo LaBarbera on strings and keyboard, respectively. Stamper tells RA that it's an 11-minute, single-sided 12-inch with an etching on the other side, released on her new label, We Still Believe. The record will see release in Chicago at Gramaphone Records on Thursday night, part of a celebration that will include in-store DJ sets and food and drinks. It'll go up online after that. Earlier this year we followed Stamper on some tour dates for a Between The Beats film. She's also in the midst of her first headlining US tour, with a slot at RA's Art Basel party in Miami locked in for November 30th.
