- The Spiritual Life boss heads to the Bay Area later this month.
- Joe Claussell will headline The New Parish in Oakland on October 29th. Claussell has long been a driving force in New York City dance music. The Brooklyn-born percussionist, DJ and producer got his start at the Dance Tracks record store before producing music and serving as a Body & Soul resident alongside Francois K and Danny Krivit. Lately, he's been putting out EPs via Spiritual Life sub-label Sacred Rhythm Music, recently issuing a full-length compilation called Thank You Universe on that imprint. The People is an Oakland party focused on soulful, deep house bookings—they last brought in Peven Everett for a live set back in August.
